What frequency range does Channeltech test CAT6A cables across?+
All CAT6A cables are tested across the full 1 MHz to 500 MHz frequency range per ANSI/TIA-568.2-D and ISO/IEC 11801-1:2017. Performance data is available at 1, 100, 250, 375, and 500 MHz — see the Technical Deep Dive above for complete frequency sweep profiles.
What is the AXT margin on Channeltech CAT6A S/FTP?+
+6.6 dB above the ANSI/TIA-568.2-D standard requirement at 500 MHz. It is measured on production S/FTP cable rather than a lab special. AXT compliance is achieved through optimised pair geometry at 7.2mm (U/UTP) and dual-layer shielding at 8.2mm (S/FTP).
Is 100% of production tested or is it statistical sampling?+
100% of production is tested. Every reel undergoes automated NEXT, PSNEXT, IL, RL, ELFEXT, ACR-F and TCL testing, documented with a unique batch identifier. Alien crosstalk (AXT) is engineered in through pair geometry and shielding, and verified in qualification testing.
Does Channeltech offer CAT6A cables rated for fire environments?+
Yes. Channeltech manufactures Low-Smoke High-Temperature, Fire-Resistant (IEC 60331-1), and Flame-Retardant (IEC 60332-3-22) CAT6A cables. LSZH variants tested per IEC 61034 for smoke density are also available for critical infrastructure.
